VESTA – WIM preselection

For a vehicle pre-selection system (HERA combined with VESTA)

When a vehicle moves over the weighing in motion sensors (WIM), installed about 20 metres before the VESTA trigger loop, the traffic station detects whether or not the vehicle is in violation (of weight, height). If the vehicle is infringing, the WIM station sends a signal to the VESTA SYSTEM to capture an image when the vehicle moves over the trigger loop.

The calculated information that can be added to the vehicle image is:

  • The date and time,
  • The number plate,
  • The lane,
  • The weight,
  • Speed,
  • The speed limit,
  • The distance between vehicles,
  • Etc.

An individual file (data and images) is available for each infringing vehicle.
