Capella LD2 & LD4

The inductive loop sensor can be connected to the Capella LD device. Once connected to one or more loop, the LD device will transmit a “on-off control” signal to the classification electronics device.

When a vehicle enters the toll lane, the vehicle is classified as follows :

  • Detection of the metal mass of the vehicle by the loop : Connection / Capella LD.
  • The signal is analysed by the LD detector and transmitted as an “on-off control” signal to the classification electronics.
  • Detection of the vehicle’s axles by the resistive sensor (RES1 or RES2) : Connection / Capella RD.
  • The signal is analysed by the RD2 detector and transmitted as an “on-off control” signal to the classification electronics.
  • The classification electronics receive the signals from both detectors (RD and LD).
  • Depending on the signals received, the device will classify the based on the registered classification.
