Electronique Controle Mesure - Road traffic management

The research undertaken since 1978 by ELECTRONIQUE CONTROLE MESURE with the french polytechnical university INPL and the french main road laboratory LCPC and "CETE de l'Est", allowed the first piezoelectric sensor industrialization and its sale as soon as 1981. Since 1989, considerable progress in resins for semi rigides roads hab been carried out by ECM.
Today, we can estimate that the life time of piezoelectric sensors is better than five years (MTBF), without any deformation or cracking of the road. Installed sensors since 1990 are always in service, others have counted more than 100 millions of axles without any failure.
Our experience about piezoelectric sensors manufacturing and laying is more than 10000 sensors.
